The 2027 Middle East International Oil & Gas Exhibition Scheduled for June in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Focusing on Energy Transition and Building a New Oil & Gas Industry Ecosystem

As one of the largest and most influential flagship oil and gas industry exhibitions in the Middle East, the 2027 Middle East International Oil & Gas Exhibition (also known as the "Saudi Oil & Gas Exhibition") is officially set to take place from June 7 to 9, 2027, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Saudi Arabia. This edition of the exhibition will center around the theme "Energy Connectivity: Reshaping a Sustainable Future for the Oil Industry," leveraging Saudi Arabia's status as a global oil hub to bring together leading companies across the global oil industry chain, technology developers, policymakers, and investment institutions, providing a world-class platform for trade connections, technology implementation, and strategic collaboration.

After decades of cultivation, the Saudi Oil & Gas Exhibition has become a yearly benchmark event for the global oil and gas industry. This year's exhibition will once again be held in Riyadh, coinciding with a key period in the implementation of Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030." The country is accelerating the localization of upstream and downstream oil industries, the coordinated transition of renewable energy with traditional oil and gas, and the strategic implementation of independent energy technology innovations, offering unprecedented cooperation opportunities for global industry participants. According to the exhibition committee, the total exhibition area is expected to be 60,000 square meters, attracting over 900 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions. The number of professional visitors is anticipated to exceed 40,000, representing a growth of over 20% compared to the previous edition.

This year’s exhibition features six main themed areas: oil and gas exploration and development technology and equipment, refining, chemical and new materials, natural gas storage, transport and the full LNG industry chain, digital and intelligent oil and gas solutions, clean energy and low-carbon transition, and oil and gas safety and environmental protection equipment. These areas comprehensively cover all segments of the industry chain, from upstream exploration and extraction to downstream end applications. In response to the current global trend of green transformation in the oil and gas sector, the exhibition has set up a special “Near-Zero Emission Technology Zone,” showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as CCUS (carbon capture, utilization, and storage), methane reduction, hydrogen-coordinated development, and energy-saving carbon reduction in oil and gas fields. Many international energy giants, Chinese oil and gas equipment companies, and local Middle Eastern tech institutions have reserved special booths to debut next-generation low-carbon technology products.  

Beyond the exhibition itself, around 12 high-level industry summits and matchmaking events are expected to take place simultaneously, including the Middle East Oil and Gas Industry Investment Forum, Global Energy Supply Chain Security Seminar, and Digital Oilfield Innovation Summit. Organizers will invite senior officials from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy, OPEC representatives, and CEOs from the world’s top 50 oil and gas companies to hold in-depth discussions on key industry topics such as post-pandemic global oil and gas supply-demand adjustments, balanced energy transition pathways, and regional oil and gas infrastructure connectivity. The event will also release the "2027 Middle East Oil and Gas Industry Investment White Paper," outlining key upstream and downstream projects in the region with a total scale of over $200 billion over the next five years.  

According to the organizers, the exhibition will emphasize precise supply-demand matching services, setting up a dedicated international buyer zone to pre-match procurement needs from national oil companies and EPC contractors from the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, offering exhibitors one-on-one business negotiation opportunities. Additionally, for global oil and gas equipment and service providers expanding rapidly into the Middle East market in recent years, a special Saudi industry policy session will be held, helping foreign participants understand local procurement requirements and industrial park incentives, aiding projects to move from intent to implementation quickly.  

Currently, booth pre-registration and company sign-ups for the exhibition are officially open to the global market, with very positive reactions from industry organizations and exhibitors. Over 60% of special booths have already been reserved. As the first major global oil and gas event in 2027, this Middle East Oil Exhibition will further strengthen Riyadh’s position as a core hub for global energy cooperation and provide strong momentum for the high-quality development of the traditional oil and gas industry, while promoting a diverse and collaborative new global energy ecosystem.
